Honeymoon Day 5

Today is the day that we leave for Paris, but before we head for the train, we're gonna run around the neighborhood one last time to see some more sights, mostly The British Museum.

Molly was extra excited to see the Elgin Marbles, and I literally thought they were marbles, like the ones you play for keeps on the New York Streets circa 1900. Turn out a dude named Elgin stole the marbles from Greece, and now Greece wants them back, but the British Museum will not allow this, so the fight rages on, (Molly literally screamed in the British Museum "Give Them Back!!!").

I really want a tattoo of this, I think it's so rad that a decapitated body is fighting a decapitated centaur. Maybe when we're done with my arms and legs we can turn this into a back piece.

There ain't no dragons in Pokemon.

We walked over to a cool leather shop where the bikers like to hang and get rad gear, Lewis Leathers, and then it was off to the train for a ride to Paris. We had to check our bag through customs and have our passports stamped, but it was a very fast ride to Paris. According to the website it was a 2.5 hour train ride, but it honestly went by so fast it felt like we were only on board for 20 minutes (we both may have fallen asleep).

Our arrival in Paris had us walking down the main stretch from the train station towards Montmarte, which is where Moulin Rouge is located, and conveniently, was also where our hotel concierge recommended we head for dinner. Another windmill place: Le Moulin de la Galette. This restaurant was way too damn fancy for us, but we were able to sneak in a super late 10:30 reservation. I ate snails for the first time, the food was unreal (beef bourguignon), and as we were the last in the restaurant, they said we could have all the Chocolate Mousse we wanted (which wasn't a lot, we were so full).

Before we left, we told them this was our literal first stop in Paris, much less our first meal, and where it was Valentine's Day, they gave us a free rose. So adorable. Loved this restaurant and can't recommend them enough!
